Avisford Park was once a private boarding school, and in the Cedar Restaurant, the names of all the head boys are engraved on the cedar wall panels.
Nowadays, our very own ‘Head Boy’ cooks up wonderful feasts for everyone, whilst tipping a cap to the old school.
So you’ll find mashed potato on our menu, and an Eton Mess. But we seriously doubt the pupils ever tasted anything like our Seared Teriyaki Duck Breast, Bocconcini Caprese Salad or Honeycomb Cheesecake. You might not have tasted anything like them either!
We look forward to welcoming you to the Cedar Restaurant, whether as a hotel resident, guest or local. It’s a fantastic setting, with the split-level room overlooking the lawns, and we regularly refresh our à la carte menu.
We suggest smart-casual dress for lunch or dinner in the Cedar Restaurant, but don’t worry – nobody’s going to give you 100 lines, or put you in detention if you get the dress code wrong!
The Lounge, Terrace & Bar
Enjoy a full bar menu – burgers, spare ribs, curries, salads, pasta, sandwiches and a kids menu.
For Afternoon Tea we serve scones, fresh pastries and sandwiches, tea and coffee in the stylish surroundings of the lounge.
In the summer months guests can enjoy al fresco dining on the Terrace while surveying the tranquil gardens.
The Lounge is a great place to hold an informal meeting, with bar drinks and snacks, free Wi-Fi and comfortable chairs.
