Vote For Our £1,500 Community Fund

Walberton Players Youth Theatre welcomes children aged seven to 17, providing opportunities to sing, act, dance and develop confidence through performance. The inclusive group welcomes young people of all abilities, including children on the autism spectrum, with a focus on having fun and creating a supportive environment.

The organisation hopes to use the £1,500 award towards updating its lighting system, which is more than 40 years old. The investment would help improve future productions and create a better performance experience for the children and young people involved.

Carers Support West Sussex works alongside unpaid carers, helping them access information, guidance and practical support to improve their quality of life and protect their own health and wellbeing.

The organisation supports more than 29,000 registered unpaid carers, who may be looking after a child with additional needs, an elderly parent, a partner or another loved one. Its services include support groups, a helpline, practical assistance and programmes designed to help carers manage the demands of their role.

If successful, the funding would contribute towards Positive Activity Days during school holidays for young carers aged eight to 11. Activities can include theatre trips, rock climbing and creative arts workshops, providing opportunities that some young people might otherwise be unable to access.
